Students interested in transferring into Illinois State University from another college or University should follow the application process specific to the sequence of interest:
Regardless of sequence, students must complete general education requirements and all prerequisite coursework prior to any scheduled admission into the college. These prerequisites include the following Illinois State University courses:
Transfer students should visit Course Transfer Guides on the Illinois State University’s Registrar Web site to determine how courses taken at over 50 colleges in Illinois transfer into Illinois State University. For example, BIO 105 Microbes and You taken at Joliet Junior College transfers into Illinois State as BSC 160 Microbiology for catalogue year 2008- 2010. Therefore, BIO 105 at JJC fulfills the college of nursing microbiology requirement for this time period.
Students who complete prerequisite courses that transfer into Illinois State University as a major elective or non-major elective instead of as the Illinois State University prerequisite course numbers listed above must complete a Transferability Form and submit it to Mennonite College of Nursing for review. Information received will be reviewed by the Undergraduate Program Director. Transferability Forms are available by calling (309) 438-7400. This form must also be completed for nursing courses completed at another bachelor-level nursing college.
The following transfer worksheets are intended to supplement information received from www.itransfer.org and from one’s current academic advisor.
